FAQ

Are appointments required for trying on wedding gowns?

We highly recommend booking an appointment for us to better assist you in your search for the perfect gown. Because your bridal gown purchase is a once in a lifetime event, you deserve the time and attention of a professional consultant and a relaxing experience. Our boutique is quite intimate & booking in advance for specific times & dates is preffered. We do attempt to assist walk-in appointments when possible. However, unless there is an opening, we may need to schedule you an appointment to view our dresses and try on.

How many people should I bring to my appointment?

We recommend that you bring one or two people who are key in helping you choose your wedding gown. Generally we find that having too many people in with you can make it hard for you to decide on what gown is the perfect dress for YOU.

Can I bring children to my appointment?

We love children, and they are allowed in the store. Child safety is your and our priority, so we do ask that you ensure they are well behaved and with you at all times.

Is picture taking allowed during gown appointments?

Yes! We do ask that you kindly refrain from taking photos all throughout your appointment and take them at the end of the appointment just in your favorite gowns, if possible. This way you can focus on your experience and what gown you really love. We know that it is difficult today to make decisions without photos and will gladly take a few for you to help you decide as well.

What should I bring to my appointment?

We have bridal shoes, and petticoats (slips) for you to try on with the gowns. If you have however bought your wedding shoes or other items, we would suggest you bring them along to the appointment so you can try them on with our dresses. As with any specialty garment, you’ll need to wear your own undergarments when trying on. Other things you may want to bring include photos of the style of gown you are most interested in and one or two people to help you decide. It is important to bring someone whose opinion you value, so you can decide what looks best on you. Most of all, bring an open mind! We often find the gown you end up loving is perfect for you in every way, but may not look like the ones you found on Pinterest. Try on several styles and be open to suggestions. It is our pleasure to help you find the perfect dress!

Do you allow pets in the store?

Sorry, pets are not allowed inside the store. Service animals are, of course welcome.

Our gowns range from £299-£2999. We have a large inventory that allows us to have a beautiful selection of gowns at every price point in between.

How often do you get new gowns?

We receive new gowns every week. Gowns are ordered throughout the year to ensure that we have the most current collection of gowns in the South West. You are sure to be surprised by the diversity of our selections, as well as the prices.

How far in advance should I shop for my gown?

It depends on your requirements & how soon your big day is. We have both off the peg dresses readily availble in our boutique and also have a range of dresses which can be ordered in made to measure. For these, usually recommend shopping at least 8-12 months ahead. Most wedding gowns take about 5-6 months to arrive when ordered. Therefore, it is ideal to have as much time as possible, plus allowing time for extra for any alterations your gown may need.

How much time should I allow for ordering my bridesmaid dresses?

It is suggested to order them about 6 months prior to the wedding. This ensures the closest fit and allows time for alterations. Since we stock such a large sample selection, you are sure to find the perfect gowns available for any time of year.

My plan is to lose weight before my wedding. Should I purchase a smaller sized gown than I presently wear?

This is not recommended. A gown is always easier to be taken in, than let out. Generally, alterations cannot increase the size of a gown, they can, however, make a slightly loose gown fit perfectly.

Do you carry alternative sizes?

Our sample gowns, available for all brides to try on, range in size from 4 to 22, with most between 8 & 16. Bridal sizes do typically run slightly smaller than standard sizes, so please keep this in mind when selecting a size. Most of our gowns are available in size 2-28+.
